Graciela (graciela.shelman):
The End of Life with Us
Present at my beginning
becoming in his own career
having begun his own new life as father
as a Father he became
My spiritual father loved me
accepted me as I evolved
nourished me through music
memory of his voice evokes a smile
Blessed times through Woodstock
a subtle support through resistance
careful not to step on Dad
respect honed my view of truth
No doubt he now begins again
his fresh start with a crown of many jewels
Enlivened by loves he has known so well
The end of life with us – his joyful beginning
Vance Auster (vance.auster):
“But what is great can only begin great. Its beginning is in fact the greatest thing of all.” Heidegger
Sweet sounds of struggle,
Three wrens hatched in my garage.
Wanting to be free.
A bright nebula,
A nursery for new stars.
Which will harbor life?
Xeno Octavia:
begin begining beginings
ah yes is plural
so juss a bunch a start-up stories
so really is no begin [lol or ends]
juss like no busses ta where ta take
my yoga lappie as warrent only 4 daze left
begin part a human illusion — de lusion!
ya takes a boil an a goil an dey thinks
they beginnerates a baby
but that only genes n memes
forgets the timeless point of life
that enters the body mind
lol it begined much long loooong ago
how far bak to the whole chain o life
[oh then did life have a begin ??]
they whoever that b – did they have a begin?
was there point in time unlife became life
or as some recent physiocists wonder
was there life before was uni/multi universe[s]
so pomes an ppls have begins does everthing?
or is beginingless and endless the real REAL!!!
Denis (devanahousha):
I was beginning
to promote a poet,
She has gone,
Leaving her wings quiet
Sharry Ragu:
Beginnings are;
Breaking dawns
and clearing thunderstorms
in each drawn breath
eternal moments
linger
awaiting capture
the rapture!
to be again
craving life in time and space
calling from awareness
Mika (mika.dalglish):
Race …. in honor of Black Lives Matter from a white woman hopefully not a Karen!
Black skins of human kin, a so-called ‘race’, cut deep to split the soul of man in two. Science Deemed some people less than human as though we needed rationalization! Some persons, Reclassed as objects according to those masters of monied empires. Made some people property of others, to be bought and sold; a vicious brute insanity. All for profit, as storms of commerce Grew. New worlds to supply, inhuman, beastly commerce, textiles woven, slaves were the Engine, a world-wide nasty brew.
We knew what wreaking havoc this would bring to life, and how so very hard to undue!
But what can we say to our white ungrateful selves? How to grapple with our most callous Cruelties, vicious beyond words; what incredible dark beings we white ones became, and can Become! Tolerated? No! We rejoiced in the lynching, savored the hideous, living into that clear Demonic work, our brutal red-blooded selves. We, most joyous in denial, our deepest humanity Betrayed. Hope for any redemption emptied in the soil? Has it been emptied?
Black and white still live as opposites one repressed inside the other. How to liberate, integrate Those aspects: are they buried forever? To know each inner passion, expression, as thriving Selves, not blind. Our brothers and our sisters, one family of mankind. To liberate our human Dignity, each woman and each man, to live in loving harmony. That would be the plan!
Now listen, this must become true, indeed in time, and with passions surely faced. Black and White must interlace as one skin, one kin, not Blue nor Gray; interpenetrated, integrated, we Each will Come to know our hidden, callous ways; to live in a long hoped-for rainbow of Vibrant colors brave! All our many selfves might learn to play, to dance, alive, amid the riotous, wild Compelling fire! All our humanity’s, delicious colors, a worldwide display: Nelson Mandela is for sure, one mandala of a grateful day.
Sofia Souther: (borrowed)
In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.
For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.
It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.
Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.
Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.
Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.
